
Steven J. Sharratt is the associate dean of advancement for the Tepper School of Business and oversees institutional advancement activities, including fundraising, alumni relations, marketing and communications. Previously he served as director of operations for the Parker Center for Investment Research at the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University, where he led fundraising and media relations activity and provided oversight for its multimillion-dollar technology platform. Prior to the Parker Center, Sharratt was the executive director of development and assistant dean for external relations for eight years at the Johnson School.
Before his time at Cornell, Sharratt was vice president/team leader for private banking at Chemical Bank/Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co., New York City, where he managed the credit/marketing team with a diversified client base of entrepreneurs and assets of more than $50 million. He was also director of corporate relations at the Columbia Business School at Columbia University. Sharratt's professional experience also includes director of Development, Institute for Art and Urban Resources (P.S. 1), New York, N.Y.; membership director, Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; grants administrator, Southwest Minnesota Arts & Humanities Council, Marshall, Minn.; writer-editor, St. Mary's Junior College, Minneapolis; instructor of English and theater, St. Mary's College of Maryland, St. Mary's, Md.
Sharatt earned an MBA in finance from Columbia University's Graduate School of Business, a master of arts in English literature from Toronto University and a bachelor of arts in English literature from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn.
