Allan Meltzer gave a presentation to alumni in Pittsburgh on “The Federal Reserve during the Greenspan Era.”   In this video, Meltzer discusses the success of the 1980s and the 1990s in both ending inflation and maintaining a long period of prosperity.  He highlights Alan Greenspan’s achievements and identifies the changes within the Federal Reserve during his 18 year tenure as Chairman.
