The Center for Business Solutions provides global exposure and research opportunities for faculty and students that includes joint research, industry data, international field studies and case competitions. The Center enables faculty and students to harness analytical research and technology advances for forward-looking companies.
At the same time, the Center creates and demonstrates the feasibility of scientific business knowledge through interdisciplinary teams, hands-on research, and collaboration with other areas of the University, including The Center for Analytical Research in Technology (CART) and the Teaching Innovation Center (TIC). The relationship between these centers is aimed at integrating core arenas central to the process of business innovation.
The Center for Analytical Research in Technology (CART) focuses on research at the point where business and technology intersect. CART aggressively encourages analytical research that can be applied to fundamental business problems and are designed to work across various industries and organizational departments.
The Teaching Innovation Center (TIC) concentrates on enhancing teaching methods to prepare students for today’s dynamic business environment. It looks to bring real-world dynamics into the classroom. TIC encourages faculty to develop and support creative new courses that bring the dynamics of analyzing information and making decisions into the classroom.
The three centers evolved from a strategic focus at the Tepper School that examines how knowledge is created, shared and applied across dynamic global business environments and integrated into the classroom. The new center is an integral component in the school's plan to stimulate revolutionary research. Through such ongoing collaboration, members of the Center for Business Solutions receive the most current and insightful thinking of the Tepper School.
