There is no better time for corporations to make a strong statement about their partnership with the Tepper School of Business than before prospective students actually begin classes. Sponsorship of Admissions events via our Student Recruitment Fund allows companies to make an early and lasting impression on prospective students.
On April 11 and 12, 2008, the Tepper School will host its seventh annual Welcome Weekend. All accepted students (and their spouses/partners) will be invited to campus for a weekend of activities and faculty interaction. Invitees are prospective students to the MBA program as well as the Master of Science in Computational Finance (MSCF) program. The purpose of Welcome Weekend is to showcase the benefits of attending the Tepper School. Sponsors participate in alumni and recruiters panels and allow the Tepper School to demonstrate our strong corporate partnerships We have found that historically a very large percentage of students that attend Welcome Weekend ultimately matriculate at Carnegie Mellon and that the sponsoring corporations receive early and positive exposure to our MBA and MSCF candidates.
Connections Weekend, the Tepper School’s annual recruiting event for underrepresented minorities, will be held October 26- 28, 2007. Prospective students from the African American, Hispanic American, and Native American populations are invited to spend a weekend at the Tepper School and participate in a variety of activities including business case analysis and alumni panel discussions. Participants receive a substantive overview of the Carnegie Mellon MBA program and early exposure to our corporate sponsors.
Women and The MBA, a similar event for prospective female applicants will be held on October 25 and 26. Both events are excellent ways for corporations to gain visibility with key populations of both prospective students and current students who participate in the program.
