Directions

The campus is approximately 45 minutes from the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport. Due to the distance from the airport and early morning traffic congestion, it is extremely difficult to fly into Pittsburgh on the morning of your recruiting date. Late arrivals cause difficulties for students who choose the interview times according to class schedules. Therefore, we encourage recruiters to fly to Pittsburgh on the evening before the recruiting date. We recommend utilizing taxi service from the airport to the business school. Several major road construction projects will affect commuting to Oakland in 2008-2009. To learn of any road construction issues that could affect your travel, please visit www.dot.state.pa.us for the most up-to-date road information.


If driving from the airport:

• Follow Route 60 to Interstate 279 North to Pittsburgh, through the Fort Pitt Tunnel (stay in the right hand lane), to Interstate 376 East.
• Take Exit 2A (old Exit 5-Forbes Avenue-Oakland). Stay in the right hand lanes and follow Forbes Avenue through the Oakland business district until the campus is visible on the right (approximately 1-1/2 miles).
• The East Campus Garage is on the right hand side, at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Beeler Street. Take the immediate right into the parking garage.
• If continuing to the Tepper School of Business building, proceed past the parking garage and turn right onto Margaret Morrison Street.
• At the second stop sign, turn left onto Tech Street.
• The Tepper School of Business is the building on the right.

If you are traveling to campus by car on the PA Turnpike from the east:

• Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike West to Exit 57, Pittsburgh/Monroeville.
• Follow Interstate 376 West to Exit 7, Edgewood/Swissvale.
• Turn right onto Braddock Avenue (at the end of the ramp).
• Continue to the Forbes Avenue intersection. (Frick Park will be on the left).
• Turn left onto Forbes Avenue and follow Forbes Avenue approximately three miles to campus.
• If continuing to the Tepper School of Business building, turn left onto Margaret Morrison Street.
• At the second stop sign, turn left onto Tech Street.
• The Tepper School of Business is on the right.
• If continuing to the East Campus Parking Garage, immediately at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Beeler Street, turn left into the parking garage on campus.

If you are traveling to campus by car on the PA Turnpike from the west:

• Exit at Perry Highway, Exit #28 (Old Exit #3).
• Take Interstate 79 South to Interstate 279 South (Exit 72).
• Follow Interstate 279 South to Veteran’s Bridge to Interstate 376 East.
• Take Interstate 376 East to Exit 2A (old Exit 5-Forbes Avenue-Oakland).
• Stay in the right hand lanes and follow Forbes Avenue through the Oakland business district until the campus is visible on the right (approximately 1-1/2 miles).
• The East Campus Garage is on the right hand side, at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Beeler Street.
• If continuing to the Tepper School of Business building, proceed past the parking garage and turn right onto Margaret Morrison Street.
• At the second stop sign, turn left onto Tech Street.
• The Tepper School of Business is the building on the right.

Note that the most convenient parking is in the East Garage on Forbes and Beeler Streets. If you are driving, please reserve parking through the COC.
