Accelerate Leadership Center

Accelerate is dedicated to the development of communication skills for all Tepper School of Business graduate students.  Through one-to-one coaching by faculty and trained peer coaches, Ph.D. students are able to practice fundamental and advanced communication skills that they need while at Tepper and will certainly need as they secure positions and build successful careers in the academic community and corporate sector.

Ph.D. students work with faculty or coaches to develop strong curriculum vitae, cover letters, and interview skills through review, revision, and mock interview assistance tailored for each student’s specific needs. Ph.D. students also are encouraged to use the Accelerate Communication Studio to enhance their work in their classes, as either students or teachers.

Communication Coaching

Communication Center Coaches are available throughout every week of each mini to help PhD students:

• Develop strong arguments designed for key stakeholders in writing, presentations, and small group or one-to-one interactions
• Execute professionally delivered presentations
• Generate powerful slides and visuals for presentations
• Create cohesive, unambiguous, and concise documents
• Deliver instructive and responsive feedback
