Securing a Credit Report

Lenders who offer private loan categories to students will review the credit report of the borrower (and co-signer). It may be wise to request a copy of your credit report prior to applying for a private education loan.

*All persons are now able to obtain a copy of their credit report from all three agencies free of charge once every 12 months.
