Alpha Club

Alpha builds on our school’s strengths to bridge the gap between Tepper’s rigorous academics and the real world application of investment management techniques. The club’s primary focus is serving the needs of students who want to learn more about asset management, or the “buy-side”, which includes mutual funds, hedge funds, private wealth, and institutional money managers. Club activities range from managing the Tepper Opportunity Fund, where students pitch stocks and maintain an equity portfolio to trading events, where students practice making markets and trading equities.
