Tepper Opportunity Fund

Dollar Sign Illustration

The Tepper Opportunity Fund has been established to provide students at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University an environment for experiential learning in investment management. The Fund will be student managed and serve as a platform to integrate course work in finance, accounting and economics with practical skills in security analysis, asset selection, portfolio allocation and business communication.

The Fund’s primary investment objective is capital preservation, with the secondary objective of capital growth. To meet these objectives the Fund will actively invest in a variety of financial investments to achieve capital appreciation over inflation, including stocks and exchange-traded funds.

The Fund accepts applications for Analysts each September. Additionally, the Fund will hold stock pitch events once per mini which are open to the entire Tepper community. If you would like to learn more about the fund, please e-mail Daniel Jester, Lead Portfolio Manager, at djester@andrew.cmu.edu.
