The Asian Business Association (ABA) at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University is dedicated to developing successful business leaders and providing them with the opportunity to explore Asian culture. The ABA will support members by providing them with resources for the MBA experience and help students acclimate to the local Pittsburgh area.
The ABA will also strive to network with prominent Asian and Asian American business leaders, alumni, academics, and peers. We hope to help become a foundation for greater cultural awareness in the Tepper community.
There are a wide variety of activities that we have planned for this academic year. Movie nights provide an excellent opportunity to learn about different cultures in Asia. ABA, in conjunction with other Tepper cultural clubs, will coordinate country presentations to provide the student body insight into other cultures and appropriate business etiquette. We hope to be able to help coordinate and participate in a trip to China this year with the Chinese Business Association during winter break. Additionally, we will host various social and cultural events throughout the year. We will also prepare students professionally by providing career mentoring services, hosting keynote speakers and networking events, and attending the Asia Business Conference at Harvard University.
