About BBA

Mission

The Black Business Association seeks to foster and promote a nurturing environment for the educational, social and professional development of Tepper's African and African-American community. The BBA emphasizes academic excellence, community involvement and career success, and through various programs and initiatives, supports its members in achieving those ends.

Objectives

  • Initiate programs that will increase the visibility of the Black Business Association on the Carnegie Mellon Campus and the Pittsburgh community at large
  • Average grade of B+ or better
  • Develop a relationship with BBA alumni and the Carnegie Mellon Black Graduate Student Organization (BGSO) 
  • Develop strong relationships with corporate sponsors

Membership

The BBA is open to and welcomes all Carnegie Mellon students and faculty that support its goals. We are primarily comprised of Black students, along with students of other minority and non-minority groups.
