Linsey McDaniel: I grew up in Pittsburgh but after living in Washington D.C. for eight years, as well as Phoenix, Arizona briefly, life in Pittsburgh as a single woman has been an adjustment. Pittsburgh has a lot to offer in terms of opportunities to meet interesting people. The blue collar "realness" fused with a strong presence of universities and arts creates a city with character and little pretense but which lacks exposure to cultural influences. Malcolm Johnson: Being married to a Tepper MBA student is like being married to an investment banker, minus the great Christmas gifts thanks to high five figure year-end bonuses. Well, maybe it’s not quite that bad, but for the first seven weeks of the program the work overload can be rough on the household union. Don’t get me wrong though – being a marred grad student is definitely not all bad.I would have had a much tougher time succeeding at Tepper without my wife’s support and many of my married classmates can echo those sentiments.
