Club Officers

 

Joshua Swartz - President

Joshua graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Unversity of Cincinnati with a BA in Business Economics. A San Francisco native, Joshua started his own independent consulting firm in the Bay Area in 1997. He built over a decade of industry experience in software development and technology consulting services for such firms as Pearson, Ford Motors, Penguin Publishing, and CIT Group. During the summer, Joshua was a summer associate with Booz & Company in New York. In addition to providing professional resources for aspiring consultants in the Consulting Club, Joshua is currently studying Finance, Strategy and Marketing at the Tepper School.

 

Sujit Naik - Vice President

Sujit graduated with BS and MS degrees in Chemical Engineering and worked as a researcher at Sandia National Laboratories. Prior to Tepper, Sujit was a Manager in the semiconductor industry leading product and process development teams for Micron and Intel over eight years. He is pursuing concentrations in Strategy, Marketing and Finance at Tepper. Sujit is also the club coordinator for the Tepper Pro-bono Consulting program and is currently engaged in a project with the Pittsburgh Technology Council. During the summer, Sujit worked as a consultant for Innovation Works, a state-sponsored venture fund. Further, Sujit worked during the summer in Corporate Development and Product Strategy at Plextronics, a fast-growing leader in printed electronics technology.

 

Chris Bell – VP of Corporate Relations

Chris holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to Tepper, Chris was a Senior Sales Representative for the Gordon Flesch Company, before which he was a member of the Information Management Leadership Program at GE Healthcare. Chris’s goal is to reach out to more and new consulting companies to increase Tepper’s already strong penetration into the consulting industry. He spent his summer at Bain & Co in their Boston office.

 

Vishwa Kolla – VP of Career Development

Vishwa graduated with an MS in Computer Science and has had extensive leadership and product development experience in the data storage industry. During his 8 year tenure at Sun Microsystems, Vishwa launched several storage and software products. He also set up an off-shore presence of Sun’s Storage division in India. Vishwa’s interests are in the areas of Strategy and Operations consulting. During the summer, Vishwa worked as an internal consultant helping divisions of IBM to set their strategic direction by gathering market intelligence data.

 

Subramaniyam "Subu" Narayanan – VP of External Affairs

Subu completed his Bachelors of Electrical Engineering at the University of Mumbai before joining Siemens, Ltd. in a sales and marketing role. He worked across a wide variety of industries, including steel, cement, textile, auto, oil, and gas, marketing high end electrical solutions to clients. In addition, Subu is a professional Indian classical vocalist and percussionist and has performed widely across the world. At Tepper, he is involved through GBA, SABA and Admissions and will be spearheading the 2008 International Festival. Subu spent his summer at Amazon.com as a Senior Financial Analyst.

 
 

Jainik Shah – VP of Operations

Jainik earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston, and MS in Mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining Tepper, he worked at the Ford Motor Company as a Product Development Engineer and in the Project Management Team for six years. Jainik is a James R. Swartz Entrepreneurial Fellow and recipient of merit scholarship. During the summer, Jainik joined Deloitte Consulting as a Summer Associate in their Strategy & Operations group in Dallas, Texas. Jainik lives in the quaint Squirrel Hill area with his wife Toral.

 

Suraj Sharma – VP of Education & Development

Suraj graduated from National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, India with a B.Tech degree in Computer Engineering. Prior to joining Tepper, He worked for six years with IBM on many research and consulting assignments with IBM Research Labs and IBM Business Consulting Services. He is committed towards making Tepper an even stronger brand in consulting by providing the best career development and case practice opportunities for the students. During the summer, he joined the Pittsburgh office of McKinsey & Company.

 

Andrew Williams – Flextime Class Representative

Andrew holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University as well as a BS in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University. Before coming to Tepper, Andrew worked as a research assistant studying Network Security for CyLab at Carnegie Mellon as well as an Intelligence Analyst for the Department of Homeland Security. During the summer, he joined Diamond Management & Technology Consultants as a summer consultant.
