Activities

• Debates
  • Teams debate with each other on controversial topics
  • Time restrictions make speakers be aware of how concise they are
  • Past topics include:
    • Should Iran be permitted to develop nuclear programs
    • Choice paralysis: does maximum number of options mean maximum welfare
• 3-word-game
  • Members have to present a speech impromptu, and have to incorporate 3 given words
  • Example: "Is leadership instilled at birth or can one become a leader at an MBA program", using the words recalcitrate, unambiguous, entrenched
• PP Speech
  • Members are given PowerPoint slides and have to prepare a speech.
