Professor Sun earned a PhD from the University of Southern California in 1997 and joined the faculty the same year. Her main research interest focuses on dynamics and rational consumer choice processes. She evaluates their impact on the effectiveness of marketing-mix tools in general and more specifically on price and promotion strategies. She develops theory-driven and process-oriented empirical approaches to explore systematically the interesting rational and strategic consumer choice decisions that cannot be easily captured by conventional choice models.

Research interests: Dynamic Discrete Choice Models, Structural Econometrics
