Research from Carnegie Mellon’s Integrated Innovation Institute provides unique and actionable insights on how teams can be super flexible and super innovative. This program has been developed to help technology, product development, and/or marketing leaders and their teams learn about effective business practices for succeeding in a rapidly changing world with compressed market time frames regularly disrupted by innovation. Offered in partnership with the Integrated Innovation Institute.

Program Overview

Leaders need flexible business strategies, dynamic leadership capabilities and fluid organizational structures to thrive in the uncertainty of today's markets. Stability and predictability has been fundamental to managerial practice in the past, but successful leaders today must be able to anticipate kaleidoscopic market dynamics and react with more flexible and adaptive actions to drive growth. The key to dynamic adaptation is to become super-flexible and innovate continuously. This course will provide insights, frameworks and tools to apply to your particular business situation.

Participants

Super Flexible Innovative Teams, jointly offered by Tepper School of Business Executive Education and Carnegie Mellon's Integrated Innovation Institute is for senior managers, directors and executives, and cross-functional (design, engineering, marketing, et al) teams that are pursuing the development of innovative products/services that create a leap in value for existing or new customers/markets. This includes:

  • Chief Innovation Officers
  • Chief Marketing Officers
  • Chief Information Officers
  • Sr. Managers, Directors, V.P.s of:
    • New Product/Service Development
    • Business Development
    • Engineering
    • Design/Industrial Design
    • Product/Brand/Service Marketing
    • Customer Insight/Solutions
    • Corporate Planners/Strategists

This program is also suitable for Teams responsible for the identification, development and launch of innovative product and service offerings.

Terms & Conditions

Fee: The program fee of $2,400 per person covers tuition, course materials, and most meals. Companies sending three or more participants, organizations with fewer than 500 employees, non-profits, and the government sector receive a 10% discount.

Accommodation: Rooms have been reserved at special seminar rates at a local hotel. Logistic details will be communicated to participants after registration. Cost of accommodation is not included in the program fee.

Cancellation policy: For cancellations received more than four weeks before the program, the program fee will be fully refunded, less a $300 administrative fee. For cancellations received 14 to 27 days before the program, a 35% refund will be provided. For cancellations received less than 14 days before the program, no refunds will be given. Feasible substitutions may be an option at the discretion of the Tepper School of Business.
