The admissions decision cannot be made until the completed application package has been received by the MSCF office and has been processed. Applicants may be contacted to arrange a personal or telephone interview before a final decision is made. All applicants will receive a notice of acceptance or rejection. MSCF routinely conducts an independent verification of all MSCF application credentials.

Student enrollment for '06-'07 in Pittsburgh and New York is approximately 35 students each. Enrollment figures for the 2007-2008 class are expected to be similar.

The Admissions Committee reviewed approximately 600 applications for '06-'07, offering admittance to about one out of four candidates applying.

Completed applications must include the following:

Completed MSCF application form
Resume
Work history
Two required essays (not required for certificate applicants)
Three letters of recommendation (not required for certificate applicants)

Transcripts, official records and supporting documents of all academic work from each college or university attended, showing courses pursued, grades received, comprehensive examination results and diplomas or certificates awarded, must be submitted. If the original documents are not in English, official translations must be included. Translations that are obtained locally and notarized are also acceptable. Translations must be given in terms of their exact original designations, not in terms of their supposed equivalent to a United States degree. If the official records provided by the institution indicate your performance on the basis of scores achieved on comprehensive examinations and do not include a listing of courses taken in preparation for such examinations, you should provide this information. You should prepare a detailed report of the specific subject areas in which you have been examined including, if possible, the hours per week of lectures and laboratory periods devoted to each course in each academic year of your university work to date. This document should be certified by a university official.

You are required to submit an official copy of your GMAT or GRE scores (GRE's are preferred) directly from ETS. Use GRE institution and department codes 2074 and 4399 or GMAT institution and department codes 2074 and 4102. Test scores must be no more than five years old.

If you hold a PhD in a related discipline and you are able to submit a photocopy of the GMAT/GRE that was part of your original PhD application, you may request a waiver of the GMAT/GRE test requirement. Such requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis by our admissions
committee.

Official TOEFL scores from ETS - Use institution and department codes 2074 and 02. The TOEFL is not required for students (1) who are U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents, (2) whose native language is English,(3) have earned a degree in the United States or (4) received a degree outside the United States from an institution where English was the language of instruction. Photocopied scores will not be accepted.
