Chintan Sheth received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego. Prior to joining the MSCF program, Chintan worked as a product development engineer at Motorola Inc., where he was involved in the hardware development of Motorola’s next generation smart phones. Before joining Motorola, Chintan worked at a product development consulting firm, Expertise Engineering LLC., where he was involved in the hardware and software development of various cutting edge products for small and mid-sized companies. His interest in financial markets and investment strategies motivated him to join the MSCF program. Upon completion of the MSCF program, Chintan hopes to work in derivatives trading or asset management. In his free time, Chintan enjoys traveling, playing basketball and cricket, and rebalancing his portfolio. |

Matt Stolbach received his Bachelors degrees from MIT in Electrical Engineering and Economics. For the last five years, Matt traded Collateralized Mortgage Obligations at Deutsche Bank, where he structured over tens of billions of dollars in new issuance, developed tools to aggregate risk, and served as the primary trading contact for Asia. Matt joined the desk in its infancy and helped build it into a bulge bracket mortgage player. Now he is earning his MSCF to prepare for a role that requires both first-rate quantitative and communication skills. In his spare time, he enjoys music, movies, politics, Scrabble, and the Dallas Cowboys. |

Jeffrey Tay graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2006 with a First Class Honors Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and a minor in Business. In his final year as an undergraduate, he performed research in the area of sensor networks and developed new, improved algorithms and mathematical models, which were published and presented at conferences in Tokyo and Singapore. Upon graduation, Jeffrey worked at the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, where he supported the fixed income desk in enhancing trading system technologies, building derivative pricing models, and generating risk management reports. Intrigued by the unpredictability of the financial markets, he joined the MSCF program to advance his quantitative skills, and looks forward to apply his expertise in the areas of derivatives trading and investment management. Jeffrey is currently a Level III candidate in the CFA program. An avid runner, he hopes to run in the New York City marathon this year. |

Jesse Velez was born and raised in the City of La Ciudad, better known as Los Angeles, California. He attended the University of California at Davis where he received a BA degree in Economics. Afterwards, he attended California State University at Hayward to pursue a M.S. degree in Statistics, while working as a Statistical Programmer for the Department of Veteran Affairs' Health Economic Resource Center in Menlo Park. Upon graduation, Jesse began his career in the financial service industry, working as a Risk Management Analyst for Wells Fargo Bank and, later, as a Fixed Income Data Analyst for MSCI Barra, a leading provider of financial risk management analytics and software. Upon completion of the program, Jesse looks forward to applying his newfound knowledge in a career in risk management or asset management. His personal interests include traveling, watching films, listening music, PAC-10 Football, Dodger Baseball and reading. Though as a CFA Level III candidate, he doubts he will have enough time to enjoy all of his interests. |

Andrew Vicen joined the MSCF program after completion of his BSc in Finance and Mathematics at The Ohio State University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors. While at Ohio State, Andrew was very active both inside the classroom and out, including being elected President of the Undergraduate Business Council his senior year. He was also the recipient of the Fisher College of Business Most Outstanding Senior Award and Pacesetters Award. While completing his undergraduate degree, Andrew worked for American Electric Power as a Structuring and Market Analysis intern. In this role he assisted in structuring and pricing the risk associated with complex forward power transactions and engaged in power and commodity market research utilized in hedging and trading strategies. Upon graduation, Andrew looks forward to applying his quantitative skill set to a career in derivatives trading. During his free time, you will often find him golfing, playing basketball, or cheering on his beloved Buckeyes. |

Chaoxiong (Chelsea) Wang holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics with concentration in Operations Research from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor’s degree in Computational Mathematics from Zhongshan University. Her doctoral research was focused on game theory and global optimization. Her primary thesis work involved proof of the existence and uniqueness of the Nash equilibrium of a game for a wireless communication system and design of algorithms for computing the equilibrium point. With a sincere interest in finance, Chaoxiong joined the MSCF program to apply her extensive knowledge in optimization, game theory and numerical computing to pursue a career in portfolio management, fixed income strategy and algorithm trading. Her hobbies include music, movie, travel and reading novels. |

Jing Wang obtained his Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from University of Illinois at Chicago and his Bachelor’s degree from Chu Kochen Honors College in Zhejiang University. With six years of education in applied mathematics, Jing built up his quantitative and computational skills through extensive modeling and experimental-data analysis. He joined the MSCF program to develop an advanced skill set by leveraging his excellent quantitative background and his strong interest in the financial market. Jing is currently a CFA Level III Candidate. This summer he will be working as an intern at Barclays Capital, Fixed Income Trading division. Upon completion of the program, Jing is looking to apply his excellent skills in the areas of trading, structuring or asset management. In his spare time, Jing enjoys playing soccer, basketball and hiking. |

Lei Wang holds a Ph.D. degree in Physics from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China. After graduating from Maryland, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Santa Cruz Institute for Particle Physics. His graduate and post graduate research was focused on studying the properties of fundamental particles to test the predictions of the Standard Model by analyzing the experimental data sets collected at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. As first author, he published a paper based on his graduate thesis in Physical Review Letters, one of the most prestigious journals in physics. Driven by his interest in the financial markets, he joined the MSCF program to learn how to apply his quantitative skills to develop profitable investment strategies. He is currently a CFA level III candidate. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue a career in quantitative finance in the financial services industry. During his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, basketball and watching sports. |

Ryan Whidden was born in fabulous Las Vegas and raised in the Bay Area of California. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with honors and Master's degree in Economics at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His mathematical interests are in differential equations and matrix theory, and his economic interests are in Econometrics and Macroeconomics. In his Master's thesis, he applied econometrics to model compensation differences in the wages of smokers and non-smokers. Prior to joining the MSCF program, Ryan worked as a summer research analyst at the Center for Business and Economic Research and as an analyst at Southwest Gas Corporation. Ryan is attracted to quantitiave finance for the intellectual challenge, the required skill set and the numerous opportunities that are available. His career interests lie in applying econometrics and other modeling techniques to various areas of the financial markets. In his spare time, Ryan can be found reading various publications and watching movies. |
