Shufu (Alan) Xu received his Master’s degree in Computer Science from Emory University and his Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Beijing Normal University where he also received his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Before joining the MSCF program, he worked extensively in a research project that resulted in several publications (co-authored) in top journals such as Science magazine on the topic of mathematical modeling and Monte Carlo simulation of infectious diseases. He would like to pursue a career in the financial industry by leveraging on his solid foundation in mathematics and computer science, and the quantitative finance knowledge acquired in the MSCF program upon graduation. In his spare time, he enjoys photography and team sports. |

Xin (Sophie) Xue received her Bachelor’s degree in Finance with honors from Nanjing University, China, in 2008. Xin interned with AIG-Huatai Fund Management Co., where she was involved in research for automobile industry stocks. Xin spent her second internship at the Bank of China, where she gained experience in credit risk management. Upon graduation, she joined the MSCF program to gain more training in the technical side of finance and to combine it with her soft skills and business sense developed during her undergraduate study. In her spare time, Xin enjoys drums, piano and ancient Chinese calligraphy. |

Xiaohui (Jerrie) Yang received her Master's degree in mathematics from University at Buffalo, and her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics(Rank 1) from Northwest University in China. Before joining the MSCF program, she worked as a teaching assistant at University at Buffalo. Jerrie has won a lot of modeling contests including being the Meritorious Winner in Mathematical Contest in Modeling (COMAP) by a stochastic model. Prior to that, Jerrie worked as a model analyst in Xi'an and improved the arithmetic method of gasoline reservoir well test using Matlab successfully. Jerrie would like to pursue a career in sales and trading or a structured product position in the financial industry.During her spare time, Jerrie enjoyed playing Texas Holdem,taekwondo and traveling. |

Nan (Richard) Zhang pursued his Ph.D. in System Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins Medical School after obtaining his Dual Bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Biophysics from the University of Science and Technology of China. His doctoral thesis research was composed of quantifying and modeling the Border Ownership Assignment, the fundamental process of object recognition in our visual system. Nan developed his expertise in applied statistics by analyzing and modeling large and complex datasets of neural responses. Numerical simulations of neural network models contributed an important part of his research. In the meantime, Nan found there are significant levels of similarity between the brain and the financial system, in terms of their randomness, complexity and reaction patterns. Motivated by his long-term interest in finance, Nan entered the MSCF program to further sharpen his analytical and strategic abilities to become an achieved financial professional. In his free time, Nan enjoys playing piano, computer/automobile DIY, playing with and photographing his 2 years old son. |

Yanjin (Jack) Zhang earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and Master’s degree in Computer Science from University of Texas at Dallas. Before joining the MSCF program, he worked as a software engineer at Moody’s Wall Street Analytics, where his responsibility lay in developing and implementing models for structured financial products, such as MBS, ABS, and CDO. The MSCF program will enhance his quantitative skills, programming skills, and financial knowledge and integrate them as a combination. He seeks to apply his current skill set to a more dynamic and challenging environment. Jack currently serves as one of the three leaders of the MSCF New York Quantitative Finance Club. He is also a CFA Level III candidate. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, reading, and playing tennis. |

Borui Zhou received his BE in Finance with First Class Honors from Zhejiang University. In his four years of study, he focused on financial mathematics and read financial news every day. During his personal investment in the capital market, Borui developed a strong interest in finance. Therefore he decided to pursue Tepper's MSCF program to further explore the field of quantitative finance. Before joining the MSCF program, he interned at CHINA UNITED PROPERTY INSURANCE COMPANY, GOLDSTATE SECURITIES CO., LTD. and UBS where he combined his financial knowledge with his market sense. Upon graduation from the MSCF, he would like to develope his skills to valuing and structuring financial assets. In his spare time, he enjoys basketball and reading. |

Yushan Zhou received her Bachelor Degree in Statistics with a specialization in Risk Management and Actuarial Science in Renmin University of China. During her time at the University, Yushan completed 4 Society of Actuaries (SOA) Exams, including EXAMP, EXAMFM, EXAMM and EXAMC. She also interned in Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and People’s Insurance Company of China. Upon completion of MSCF program, Yushan would like to combine her skills in computational finance and actuarial science to pursue a career in risk management, quantitative trading or analysis. In her spare time, Yushan enjoys running, watching F1, painting and playing Chinese Zither. |

Feng Zou obtained his Bachelor's Degrees in both Computer Science and Economics from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. In his Bachelor's degree thesis, Feng developed an effective correlation model for technical indicators, and tested the model on S&P 500 component data over 50 years. Due to his strong interest in finance, Feng has completed three interns during his undergraduate study at leading financial institutions in China, including China Galaxies Securities, China Asset Management, and CITIC-Prudential Group. In these interns, Feng has covered functions of Investment Banking, Risk Management, and Retail Clients Sales. Feng was the Most Outstanding Debator in his University's English Debating Championship. In his spare time, Feng enjoys movies, soccer, and swimming. |
