Engineering/MBA 5 Year Integrated Program

Overview and Admissions Process:
BSE-MBA 3/2 Program

The BSE-MBA 3/2 program is truly an integrated 5 year program - distinctive from any other 3/2 MBA programs offered at CMU. Students in the program will take their normal engineering program through their first 6 semesters. The remaining 4 semesters will consist of 12 units of engineering courses and 48 units of MBA courses per semester. Students may select some of the MBA electives to satisfy the CIT general education requirements.

Application:
Deadline & Requirements

Carnegie Mellon undergraduates should apply via Tepper's online application system by January 30th of their junior year.  Please take care to submit the following application materials:
* Essays - 3 required, 1 optional
* GMAT score (highest total score considered)
* Resume and work history (detailing previous internships, as well as leadership and team positions on-campus and in the community)
* Letters of Evaulation (2 required, 4 accepted - suggested recommenders are internship supervisors or those that may have supervised campus or community activities in which you participated)
* Interview with MBA Adminission Committee member (arranged by the Admissions office after you submit your application & all components)
* Verification of academic eligibility by the CIT Dean's Office (Tepper Masters Admissions will confirm) - please contact Kurt Larsen with questions.

Eligibility:
Eligibility is based upon approval by CIT Dean's Office assuming you are in good academic standing and on track to complete your CIT requirments on time.  In addition, students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the end of the Fall of junior year and have completed at least 1 company internship prior to applying.
* Please note the following engineering majors only are eligible to apply: Chemical, Civil and Environmental, Electrical and Computer, Materials Science, and Mechanical Engineering.
