My name is Premchand Akella. I am doing my first year Flex Mode MBA at Tepper and so far, it's been amazing! I believe my MBA curriculum at Tepper will help me bolster my Entrepreneurial aspirations. As with other Flex Mode students, I am currently working and studying part-time. I have been working with Cisco for about 3 years now. I work with the Data Center Business Unit Software Development team. Before joining Cisco, I graduated with a Masters degree in Computer Systems and Engineering from University of Massachussetts, Amherst. I have a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. I love doing anything that challenges my analytical and problem solving aptitude. In my spare time, I love cooking, pencil-sketching, traveling and playing tennis. Premchand Akella


 Anandarup Bagchi

My name is Anandarup Bagchi and I am a first year Carnegie Mellon MBA student. I did my Bachelors in Electronics & Electrical Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. I have worked in the area of semiconductor at several large corporations like National Semiconductor, Sun Microsystems and Cisco where I am currently employed as a Sr. Hardware Engineer, responsible for architecture and design of complex networking ASICs/FPGAs and service blades for the routing platform.I had also been involved with several technology startup companies through various stages of their evolution. I joined Tepper to develop the business acumen needed to transform me from a technical expert to a business leader of the future.
 


My name is Colin Dean. I work in Private Wealth Management Operations for Goldman, Sachs & Co. in Salt Lake City, UT. My team provides operational support for Private Banking services on client brokerage accounts. We handle account set up, fraud monitoring, and new product development for Goldman's Private Banking business. I have a B.S. in Business Management from Brigham Young University, with a minor in Chinese. In my free time I enjoy playing basketball and spending time with my wife and two children. Colin Dean


Rajeev 

My name is Rajeev Dyamannavar. I currently work as a senior acoustics and systems analysis engineer with Air Management Systems at Hamilton Sunstrand, a United Technologies Company. I joined UTC in August 2004 and have worked on various aircraft systems. I am currently involved with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner program. Before joining UTC, I worked briefly at QRDC In, Whirlpool of India Ltd and Voltas India Ltd. I have a MS in Mechanical engineering with a concentration in acoustics from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Surat, India. I started Tepper's FlexMode MBA program in the fall of 2008.


 

Hi, my name is Kedar Dhuru and I began my MBA program at Tepper in Fall 2008. I am currently employed with Cisco Systems in San Bruno as an Antispam Operations Engineer. Prior to this, I worked as an InfoSec Analyst with National Semiconductor Corp. in Santa Clara, CA. My aim in pursuing an MBA is to be able to develop the business skills necessary in managing large enterprises. I hold a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelors in Engineering from the University of Mumbai (India). Time permitting, I spend time playing soccer, catching up with the latest movies, or hiking outdoors.

Jay Paul Henderson  My name is Paul Henderson. I currently work as a senior analyst in the Private Lending Dept. for Goldman Sachs in Salt Lake City, UT. I have been with Goldman for two and half years. Private Lending helps high net worth individual clients with their complex borrowing needs. Their borrowing needs include loans for private jets, yachts, artwork, homes and business capital. I work along side several business units including legal, compliance, sales, regional lending, and private banking to create a seamless lending process. Prior to working for Goldman Sachs, I spent 2 years as the defensive coordinator for the BYU lacrosse team. I hold a BA in Advertising & Marketing from Brigham Young University. I enjoy snowboarding in the Winter and wakeboarding in the Summer. I also enjoy working as a lacrosse color commentator for the BYU Sports Network.


My name is Stephanie Higgins, and I am a materials science engineer in the cost reduction engineering group at UTC Power in South Windsor, CT. I obtained my master's degree in materials science engineering while working at the Connecticut Global Fuel Cell Center at the University of Connecticut. I received my bachelors degree in physics from Hamilton College, where I wrote a thesis on geochronological dating of sediments from the Larsen Ice Shelf in Antarctica. I started Tepper's FlexMode MBA program in the fall of 2008. Stephanie Higgins


Scott Jones My name is Scotty Jones and I work for Goldman Sachs on the OTC Derivatives Middle Office team. I received my BS in Finance and my BS in Economics from the University of Utah. I was working on my BS in Mathematics and my MS in Finance when I decided to put those on hold and join the Tepper Flexmode class of 2011. I am a current CAIA holder (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst). In enjoy Snowboarding, Rugby and Running in my spare time.


My name is Jeff Kim. Currently, I am a technical specialist working in Private Wealth Management for Goldman Sachs & Co. In my current role, I review business entity documents for terse legal oversight for any outgoing transactions from the firm. Additionally, I am responsible for covering the New York sales office- the office with the single highest volume of transactions for our entire team. I hold a B.A. from the University of Utah in Political Science.

Katherine Knapp Carney My name is Katherine Knapp Carney and I joined Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT in 2005. My job responsibilities have included provided aerodynamics support to both commercial and military programs and recently I transitioned to the role of project engineer in the Mechanical Systems CIPT. During my time at Pratt & Whitney I have also been active in the community tutoring at a local elementary school and chairing the Women's Council Community Involvement Subcommittee. I received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The George Washington University and a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.


My name is Melissa Labrie, and I am currently in the Manufacturing Engineering Development Program at Pratt and Whitney in East Hartford, CT. The MED program is a two year program with many hours of technical training and four six-month, hands on assignments that prepare for a career in a fast-paced, high technology world of aerospace manufacturing. I am a 2007 graduate of Western New England College with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. I started Tepper's FlexMode MPA program in the fall of 2008. In my free time I enjoy dancing, skiing and snowboarding, spending time outdoors, and traveling. Melissa Labrie


Chengzong Li

My name is Chengzong Li. I’ve performed Aircraft System Analysis at Hamilton Sundstrand, a United Technologies Company, since April 2007. I currently work on military program, developing advanced cooling system for military aircraft’s mission equipment. I have a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology and a BE in Thermal Power Engineering from Zhejiang University, China. In my spare time, I like to play tennis and ski.

 


My name is Carolyn Madden, and I joined the Tepper FlexMode program in Fall 2008 and currently work as a Program Manager within Strategic Spend Management at Cisco Systems in San Jose, CA. Prior to Cisco, I worked as a Consulting Engagement Manager for Ariba UK Ltd. in London and Ariba Australia in Melbourne for several years, after starting my career with various operations and consulting roles at FreeMarkets in Pittsburgh, PA . Brian Moccio

My name is Brian Moccio and I currently work for Hamilton Sundstrand, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation (UTC) as a senior analyst in the Business Development and Strategic Planning group. Our group leads corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures as well as strategic studies. I started my career with UTC in their Financial Leadership Program (FLP). I graduated from the FLP in August 2007 after completing rotations throughout UTC in accounting, operations finance, financial planning & analysis, and corporate strategy & development groups. I received my BS in finance from Bryant University in 2005 and I enjoy playing soccer and kayaking.

Kacy Garstka

My name is Kacy Garstka. As a Subcontracts Administrator with Lockheed Martin in Sunnyvale, CA, I manage a commodity based set of suppliers. I handle all aspects of the supply chain from participating on requirements planning teams, to negotiating and administering resulting subcontracts, to managing supplier performance, and contractual requirements. I hold a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. Economics from the University of California, Irvine.  In my free time I enjoy wakeboarding, jetskiing, and spending time outdoors.


My name is Joseángel "J" Guerrero, and I'm from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. I am currently working for Hamilton Sundstrand at Windsor Locks, CT as a F119 Engine Controls and External Architecture Field Support Lead. I have been employed by UTC divisions since March 2003. I am a December 2002 graduate of MIT with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. I have since completed two M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering (2005) and Management (2006) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - Hartford Campus. Joseangel


William Hu

My name is William Hu, and I am a Senior Power Electronic Engineer with Carrier Corporation of United Technologies. I lead advanced power electronic technologies into Carrier Products and functionally support other companies in UTC. I also supervise new product development and the application of Carrier’s cooling system related to power electronic technologies for Carrier global research divisions. I hold a B.Eng Degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Shenyang University of Technology and a M.S. Degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Ryerson University.


My name is Marckenzy Momplaisir. I currently work as a Deputy Program Manager/CIPT Leader at Hamilton Sundstrand (HS) on the PW6000 Controls & Externals. As a Deputy CIPT Leader, I am expected to be actively engaged in setting team direction and defining task priorities, while ensuring their successful technical execution. I enjoy playing Jazz and Classical Piano with particular interest in Gospel music. My favorite athletic activities include playing basketball, soccer, jogging, and playing tennis. I currently hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, and a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute. My name is Cristian Padilla, and I am a first year Carnegie Mellon MBA student. I also hold a Mechanical Engineering Bachelors Degree from the University of Puerto Rico. I currently work as a Project Engineer for Hamilton Sundstrand, Engine and Control Systems Division. Developing skills and knowledge throughout my MBA is of utmost importance to me in order to better contribute towards future endeavors.


My name is Arun Pandy, and I am a staff research engineer at UTRC, East Hartford, CT. I hold a PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Minnesota and a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. I started Tepper's FlexMode MBA program in the fall of 2007. Arun Pandy



 

Himali Shah

My name is Himali Shah. I work as a project engineer with Advanced Development Programs at Hamilton Sundstrand, a United Technologies Company. I joined UTC in May 2006 and have worked on various projects such as electronic engine products for commercial and military applications, lead-free initiative and ACE (achieving competitive excellence) initiatives. In conjunction with starting the flex mode MBA at Tepper, I am also working towards achieving Project Management Professional (PMP) certification by Jan 2008. I have a MS in electrical engineering from SUNY Binghamton and a BE in electronics engineering from Mumbai University, India. My MS project was focused on high-k gate dielectrics and I have written research papers on topics such as tin whiskers and carbon nanotubes as part of my curriculum. In my spare time, I like to go salsa dancing and pistol shooting.
