Job Search Tools

Because our academic programs are small by design, the COC team is able to deliver individualized attention. You will find that the COC offers a wide variety of events and services to assist you in every step of your career development including the following.

Assistance During The Employment Search
Throughout your internship and full-time job search, the COC will provide many resources and services including: a web based system for recruiting, a software to identify employers throughout the U.S., access to our Tepper network, a fax machine and assistance with offer evaluation and negotiation.

Career Exploration
The COC provides many avenues for career exploration of different functions and industries. Career exploration services include:  web-based CareerLeader for our MBA students, individual counseling appointments, free access to online career resources, career fairs and treks and corporate presentations.

Corporate Presentations
The Career Opportunities Center provides students with opportunities to learn about numerous companies through a series of corporate presentations. Corporate Presentations are also recommended for students trying to learn more about career paths in general. Presenters usually include a few representatives, frequently business school alumni, from various levels in the company who speak about careers within the organization. In addition, students are given insight into the company's management style and corporate culture. There are informal receptions held after evening presentations.

Resume And Interviewing Skill Development
In addition to workshops covering resumes, cover letters and interviewing skills, the COC offers individual appointments for resume and cover letter review. We also provide the opportunity for students to submit their resumes to employers via MBA Focus. Additionally, we provide mock interviews and individual appointments for feedback from on-campus interviews.

Treks
The COC actively partners with student organizations and alumni relations to coordinate treks to various cities throughout the United States. These visits typically focus on a city in which students have an interest and the COC has an established base of alumni and recruiting contacts. Several days in a city will yield a number of company visits, lunches and/or dinners with alumni, networking events and other related activities. Consistent treks included visits to Boston, New York City, the Silicon Valley and Seattle.

Workshops
Throughout the year, the COC offers an impressive variety of workshops, many of which are offered multiple times through the course of the year. All incoming students will be provided with a brochure containing the schedule of workshops for the upcoming year.
