Where I Live

Shadyside - I am currently living in a rented one bedroom apartment in an actual apartment building. I live with my cat. I found my apartment by looking for availability on craigslist while I was in Pittsburgh for the weekend. I highly recommend meeting your landlord before deciding if the apartment is right for you or not.
 

Best Place To Eat

I probably couldn't name a favorite restaurant to eat, but the food in Bloomfield is fantastic. Between the Polish food at BBT, burgers at Tessaro's and number of Italian places, you can't go wrong.
 

Best Off-Campus Activity

Trying new bars and restaurants with my fellow Tepperites is always fun activity. I also enjoy going downtown to watch the Pirates and Penguins play.
 

Best Grocery Store

I tend to shop at the Giant Eagle Market District on Center and Negley. I shop there because of its proximity to my apartment and also because it has fresh veggies and meats.
 

Best Gym

I tend to get a small workout in at my apartment. However, I also get a lot of exercise by biking to campus and the occasional football game at Schenley Park.
 

My Recommendation

When it comes to Pittsburgh and Tepper, its easy to never leave Shadyside. I highly recommend exploring the other neighborhoods, they each have so much to offer.
