Minors In The Undergraduate Business Program
The Undergraduate Business Program offers three minors to Carnegie Mellon students. Please select a minor below to view the course requirements.
To apply for a minor, please download and complete the minor application form (.pdf). You may turn it into the undergraduate business office, room 137, located in the Tepper School of Business.
Please check our policies on course substitutions for students pursuing a business minor.
Students may not take any courses for the business minors as pass/fail courses.
Minor in Business Administration
Prerequisite Math/Stat Courses
- Two semester courses in Calculus (recommended 21-120 and 21-256)
- One semester course in Statistics (or 70/36-207 or 36-220)

Minor in Management
The minor in management is available only to Fine Arts majors. Most of the courses for the management minor cannot be taken until the junior year.

Minor in Supply Chain Management
This minor is offered to CIT students by the Tepper School of Business. The minor consists of business courses that are quantitative in nature and oriented to manufacturing and operations, making them well suited for engineering students. Given the increased interest by many companies in optimization, logistics and supply chain management, engineering students may find this minor to be an attractive opportunity to study business.
